The use of 2D and 3D mammography in dense breast tissue may cause the problem of breast cancer being missed 1,2 , which may delay the diagnosis of the lesion in these patients. Because both dense breast tissue and breast cancer lesions appear white on mammography, this can cause some interference in the image, leaving doctors looking to detect breast cancer as early as possible.
